Why Should You Join Team Hacker?

After three successful seasons rating golf courses across the entire five-state Upper Midwest Region (ND, SD, IA, WI and MN), we have become the largest rater of golf courses in the Midwest.

In 2008 we rated 87 courses (see Hacker's Guide to Twin Cities Golf Courses ).

In 2009 we rated 210 more ( Hacker’s Guide to Minnesota & Western Wisconsin Courses ).

In 2010 we rated 213 more (see reviews on this website) for a total of 510 golf courses.

Beginning in May, 2011, Hacker’s Guide will be rating an additional 80 courses in the Midwest (those that we missed last year) and will begin to open up the Chicagoland market.  In addition, we will begin to re-rate the 87 courses in the Twin Cities (last rated in 2008).

We'd expect with these additional courses we will have rated over 650 when the snow flies this December. To do this we are looking to assemble the best rating team in the industry to help us do it (since 2007 over 1100 golfers have signed up to participate).

In addition to those raters that have worked with us before, there are openings for 50-60 new raters to visit courses for us and you should be a part of it.

If you own a set of golf clubs and a pen, you may be a candidate for Team Hacker. As a prospective team member, you get the opportunity to play dozens of courses across the Upper Midwest.

Unlike previous seasons, this year we are looking for regional coordinators to visit and rate courses in their region. Instead of traveling all over the state (you can if you want), we felt it would be easier for our raters to get to know the courses in their area and rate them.

If you are choosen as a member of Team Hacker, you could rate 5-20 courses for us. What are you waiting for? Just click here and fill out the sign-up form . You are fast on your way to playing free or discounted golf all summer!

Anyone that enjoys golf and has the time to rate a course is eligible to join us. College students, women, seniors, business people, teachers, retired folks are all be part of Team Hacker. If you have the time to rate a course, have access to an Internet connection and decent writing skills, all you need to do is sign up to get started.

NOTE: It is not guaranteed that free rounds of golf will be available for every course that you rate. We will keep you informed on the status of each course before you rate it.
