Hudson Golf Club: Now It's Private Again
Saturday, 03 April 2010 15:59

On April 1st, the Hudson Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin has changed hands and has become a private golf club (again).  The most recent issues of Hacker's Guide to Minnesota & Western Wisconsin Golf Courses actually rated the course last year and it scored quite well because in 2009, it was open to the public (see page 313).

According to the Hudson Star-Observer :

Hanson Bros. XII, LCC, paid a reported $3.6 million for the 141-acre golf course and 20,000-square-foot club house on Carmichael Road.

“The Hanson family is committed to making the Hudson Golf Club the premier golfing facility in western Wisconsin,” the family said in a news release.

Jon Hanson, Chris’ son, will serve as president and general manager of Hudson Golf Club.

Through the grapevine, there has been talk about bringing a high-end steakhouse like Manny's to the property.

They expect to bring a fine dining restaurant to the facility in the fall of 2010.

According to the news release, “they are in final discussions with a well-known restaurateur with has a rich history of providing decades of fine dining in the Twin Cities area.”

Rates are still quite reasonable at $2,900 for a family.
